Keyword Gaps in the Competitor Insights tool provide a powerful way to identify opportunities by comparing your domain’s keyword rankings against your competitors. This feature helps uncover keywords your competitors are ranking for but are missing from your website’s rankings.

What Are Keyword Gaps?

Keyword Gaps represent keywords for which your competitors rank, but your domain does not.

• This analysis helps you identify content gaps and optimization opportunities to improve your SEO strategy.

How to Use Keyword Gaps in Competitor Insights

1. Access the Keyword Gaps Tab:

• Navigate to the Competitor Insights section in the left-hand menu.

• Select a domain for analysis.

• Click on the Keyword Gaps tab at the top of the dashboard.

2. Review the Keyword Gap Table:

• The table displays all missing keywords with detailed information such as:

Keyword: The keyword that your competitor ranks for.

Gap Type: Indicates that the keyword is “Missing” from your rankings.

Competitor: The competitor ranking for the keyword.

Competitor Position: The competitor’s ranking position for that keyword.

Volume: Search volume of the keyword.

Trend: Historical trend data of the keyword’s popularity.

Difficulty (KD): The SEO difficulty to rank for the keyword.

CPC: Average cost-per-click for paid search.

Estimated Value: The potential value of ranking for the keyword.

3. Filter and Sort Keywords:

• Use filters to narrow down the keyword list by volume, difficulty, or competitor name.

• Sort the table by any column to prioritize keywords based on your goals, such as focusing on high-volume, low-difficulty keywords.

4. Explore Actions:

• Use the Action Icons in the table to:

Search for the Keyword: Analyze it further.

Visit the Competitor Page: Review how competitors are utilizing the keyword.
