Backlink Gaps in Competitor Insights is a valuable feature that helps you identify missing backlink opportunities by comparing your website’s backlink profile with that of your competitors. This tool enables you to uncover new link-building opportunities to strengthen your website’s authority and SEO performance.

What Are Backlink Gaps?

Backlink Gaps are instances where your competitors have backlinks from specific domains that your website is missing.

• By analyzing these gaps, you can pinpoint high-value backlink sources to target in your link-building strategy.

How to Use the Backlink Gaps Tool

1. Access the Backlink Gaps Tab:

• Navigate to the Competitor Insights section in the left-hand menu.

• Select a domain for analysis.

• Click on the Backlink Gaps tab at the top of the dashboard.

2. Explore the Backlink Gap Table:

• The table displays the domains linking to your competitors but not to your website. Key data points include:

Competitors: The competitors benefitting from the backlink.

Health: A measure of the domain’s quality and credibility.

Platform Types: Categories like blogs, news, CMS, etc., showing where the backlink is hosted.

First Seen: The date the backlink was first detected.

3. Filter and Sort Data:

• Use the search bar or filters to find specific domains or platform types.

• Sort the table by columns like Rank, Backlinks, or Health to prioritize outreach efforts.

4. Take Action:

• Use the Action Icon to visit the target domain and analyze its content or link opportunities.

• Export the list using the Export CSV button for further analysis or team collaboration.
