Setting up a keyword configuration in Rank Tracker allows you to customize how keywords are tracked for your project, including locations, devices, and integration with Google Search Console. Here’s a step-by-step guide to adding a keyword configuration:

1. Start Adding Configuration

In your Rank Tracker project, click + Add Configuration next to the relevant domain. This will open the configuration setup process.

2. Configure Targets

In the Configure Targets section, you’ll set up the basic details for tracking:

Domain: Enter the domain you want to track.

Target Type: Choose the type of target (e.g., root domain, subdomain, or specific URL).

Search Engine: Select the search engine for tracking, such as Google.

Target Country and Language: Specify the country and language settings to focus on the relevant audience.

Target Device: Choose between Desktop and Mobile, or select both if you want comprehensive tracking across devices.

Location (optional): If you need location-specific tracking, you can specify exact locations, down to postal codes.

You can also add multiple target locations by clicking + Add Another Target Location.

3. Optional Configuration

Customize your setup further with optional configurations:

Google My Business Name: If applicable, enter your Google My Business name for more precise tracking related to local search.

Daily Check Time: Set a preferred time for daily tracking updates to fit your reporting or workflow schedule.

Review the Target Summary section to confirm that your configurations match your requirements.

4. Configure Keywords

After setting up your targets, proceed to the Configure Keywords section:

Enter Your Keywords: Manually enter keywords you want to track, one per line. You can also assign tags to each keyword by separating them with a comma (e.g., “keyword, tag1, tag2”).

Import from CSV: If you have a list of keywords saved in a CSV file, you can upload it here to save time.

Get Recommendations: Use this option to get keyword suggestions relevant to your domain.

5. Google Search Console Integration

To streamline keyword tracking, integrate with Google Search Console:

• Click Manage Google Integration.

• Select your Google account and choose the property (domain) associated with your Search Console data.

• Once connected, you can directly insert keywords from your Search Console into Zutrix, ensuring comprehensive and synchronized tracking.

6. Save Configuration

After configuring your keywords, click Save Configuration to finalize the setup. This will activate tracking based on the settings you’ve defined.

By customizing your keyword configuration, you ensure that Rank Tracker provides the most relevant and accurate data for your specific SEO goals. This setup allows for detailed monitoring based on location, device type, and real-time data integration with Google Search Console.
